Jordan + Sterling | October 25, 2014 | The Mayo Hotel
Jordan and Sterling were such a pleasure to work with. The entire day was filled with emotion, as everyone cried tears of joy and laughter. Hours before the ceremony, the couple read a letter from one another. Sterling held back the tears as she read the sweetest words from her soon-to-be groom. Just moments later, Sterling’s dad waited to see his baby girl for the first time that day. When he turned around, he couldn’t stop saying how gorgeous she looked. They spent the next few minutes preparing and talking about the big day. It was such an emotional experience that they will be able to cherish for a lifetime.
Just as Sterling held back the tears while reading the letter, Jordan held his back as he saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. He was in awe! The ceremony was amazing. Hundreds of friends and family members filled the room. After they recited their vows to each other, they made their way up to the Crystal Ballroom to dance the night away and celebrate the new beginning of their lives. From the custom ice sculptures to the centerpieces, the entire day was so elegant and we are so happy to have been a part of it. We wish nothing but the best to this fun couple!

Tommy + Jessica | First United Methodist Church | Sky Loft Tulsa, OK
Tommy and Jessica were married at the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK and every moment of their wedding day was perfect. They were so happy and anxious while they got ready in their rooms at The Mayo Hotel. Jessica’s sister helped her with some finishing touches as they listened to music and drank champagne. Tommy relaxed with his parents and groomsmen upstairs. Before they left for the church, Jessica shared a very special moment with her dad when he saw her for the first time that day. The room filled with tears and laughter over the next few minutes. Jessica then gave her dad the cutest photo collage that read, “Today a bride, tomorrow a wife, forever your little girl.” We love filming father-daughter first looks because we get to witness the true friendship that has developed between them over the years.
After taking a few photos, Jessica and the girls made their way to the church where Jessica prepared for the first look. Just outside the church, Tommy waited anxiously. He was amazed when he turned around to see her standing there. He was so in love with her gorgeous princess-cut dress! They were the best of friends, and we could see it clearly in that moment. Just a couple hours later, the ceremony began. The pastor, a close family friend, did a wonderful job and spoke the most beautiful words about Tommy and Jessica. The ceremony was very emotional at times, but he lightened up the mood by cracking a few jokes every now and then. After they exchanged vows, the newlyweds jumped on the trolly to head to the reception at The Sky Loft just down the road. They celebrated for hours while they danced with glow sticks and confetti canons. We had so much fun capturing these moments, and we will always remember Tommy and Jessica’s special day.

Scott + Marissa | Santa Margarita Ranch | Santa Margarita, CA
Every once in a while, we are able to capture moments that just seem too good to be true. This was definitely the case with Scott and Marissa’s wedding day. Everything was perfect! When we arrived in Santa Margarita, we were blown away by the scenery. Mountains stretched across as far as we could see, and the gentle rainfall made it that much more amazing. We were even able to have lunch downtown before we started filming. Little did we know, we were about to capture what would be one of our favorite weddings ever.
It didn’t take long for them to make us feel like family. Scott was hilarious and he made us laugh all day. Although he was nervous, he made sure everyone around him felt comfortable. Just across the field, Marissa and the girls got ready in the cutest little white cottage. She was so calm and ready to see her groom. She spent the remaining moments before the ceremony bonding with Scott’s three daughters. She and her father also shared a very special first look together. They spent quality time with one another, took a few photos, and then it was time for the ceremony to start. Scott and Marissa wrote personal vows to each other, which we absolutely LOVE. It brought so much emotion into the day and allowed us to get to know them on a more personal level. During that time, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Emotions kept flowing throughout the rest of the day. The reception was filled with a mix of both tears and laughter as close family and friends celebrated by dancing, cheering, and giving toasts to the newlyweds. We were able to develop a true connection with Scott and Marissa and we feel so honored to have spent this incredible day with them!

Snow Day! | Mini Session Photography
The weather in Tulsa has been crazy this year! In one week we saw 70 degree temperatures as well as snow. We’ve been itching to get some great shots during one of our recent snow storms, and when the snow started pouring in on Monday we had to get out there and take some pics. At around noon, we sent out a Facebook post to see who all wanted to do a mini-session and we were able to connect with two of our previous brides, as well as 1 bride we are about to film in a few months. We met up downtown and decided to walk around in the snow. After the sessions got going the snow really started to come down. It was perfect, and we are so thrilled to show some of the sneak peeks of the mini-sessions! We hope you enjoy!
A few weeks back, Redeemed Productions tagged along with Kara Marrs Beauty and Jeremy Rydin Photography as they put together an amazing bridal shoot. Everything was shot at the Historic Harwelden Mansion in Downtown Tulsa, where we filled up the entire room with haze in order to achieve a more harsh and dramatic look. All of the vendors are members at Weddings of Tulsa. One of the best things about being a member at Weddings of Tulsa is that we get to collaborate with other members to pull off bridal shoots like this. It is a great place to collaborate with other members and do fun shoots like this one! Check out a quick behind the scenes video we did of this stylized bridal shoot!

We were so excited to work with Kaitlin and Tommy for their wedding film. This wedding was filled with vendors that we love to work with. When we get the chance to work with Erica from Erica Weddings, we know that the bride and groom are going to be great to work alongside. And usually when we work with Erica, we know that there will be a ton of our favorite vendors there too! If we could give you any advice, please hire a professional to coordinate and plan your wedding. It will be one the best investments you make. The wedding industry is very social, and we all know one another quite well here in the Tulsa market. We have developed friendships over the years, and have learned to work really well with one another. There is nothing more frustrating to some of the more seasoned wedding pros, than to work with vendors that aren’t respectful to the other wedding vendors there that day. When you get a handful of the vendors that know each other on board, you really do build a team that is going to help you have a flawless wedding day.
Some of the biggest advice we could give, would be to ask your wedding planner, or your other vendors, who they recommend for the vendors that you don’t yet have. More importantly, ask them if there are any vendors that that recommend you for sure don’t hire. These are the people that are going to be putting on the biggest day of your life. You don’t want to take any chances. It is ok to look through your options to make sure that you have the right people on board. Ultimately, the wedding is your day, and you want to like the vendors that are going to be around you all day. If you love their photos, but think they are awkward, we’d recommend you find someone else.
Kaitlin + Tommy’s wedding video was so much fun to make. We have been editing with a new style, incorporating more of the vows into the film, and making it more cinematic. We are absolutely loving how the wedding videos are turning out. Not only have we completely changed our editing style, we have completely changed the way we capture your audio. See our blog on Aubrie + Matt to learn a little bit more of what all we have done with our audio. The wedding ceremony was held at Parish of Christ the King in Midtown Tulsa. The fall leaves were blowing outside, and it was a crisp cool day. The sun set as the ceremony was beginning. From the scripture readings, to the vows, everything about this wedding was pointed toward the love that Kaitlin and Tommy had for one another. One of our favorite moments came right after Kaitlin made it down the aisle. As tears welled up in her eyes, she was asked to “please stop crying” from the minister. Everyone laughed and the ceremony continued with much less pressure.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed downtown, to The Summit Club. A beautiful setting as the city sparkled beneath them. The night was filled with dancing, laughing, and some great conversation. We were able to take the couple outside, about 40 floors up, and were able to get some stunning shots. Andrea Murphy Photography was amazing to work with as always, and was able to capture some great images with the sparkling city behind the couple. One other quick note would be event lighting. Zach Downing, with Empire Lighting, does a phenomenal job at creating a mood with lighting. It makes our jobs so much easier as the wedding videographer when we have simple, yet elegant lighting. A big thanks to the entire team for making this wedding video what it is. We couldn’t have done it without such an amazing team. The list of vendors for this wedding are listed below.
