Keith + Whitney | FUMC and The Mayo Reception

Keith + Whitney | FUMC and The Mayo Reception

Since the day of Keith and Whitney’s wedding, we have been so anxious to edit their film! We cannot get over how adorable they are. At the reception, the maid of honor talked about Keith and Whitney giving each other “googly eyes” all the time. As soon as she said that, we knew EXACTLY what she was talking about. The entire day, they looked at one another as if they were the only people in the room. Keith and Whitney are totally in love, and we believe that is evident in this film.

Whitney is really close with her parents. Even during the first consultation at our office, her mom could barely hold back the tears. We were able to capture so many precious moments that exemplifies the relationship she shares with them. Whitney’s dad gave one of the most sentimental speeches we have ever heard. When he started talking about the day she was born, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! Moments like this help us appreciate why we do what we do.

The reception was so much fun! After the ceremony, family and friends waited for Keith and Whitney to arrive downstairs at The Mayo. From that point on, the rest of the evening was a huge celebration and we are so happy that Keith and Whitney chose us to be a part of their special day.

Melissa + Bill | Mayo Hotel Wedding | Downtown Tulsa, OK

Melissa + Bill | Mayo Hotel Wedding | Downtown Tulsa, OK

When we first met Melissa we instantly knew that we liked her. Not only was she hilarious, but she knew what she wanted for her wedding day. When we arrived at The Mayo Hotel, the girls were relaxing in their room, while the crew from Primp Hair and Makeup were getting them all dolled up. The guys were relaxing and enjoying some time as well. Bill, and his son Jackson (Jack) spent some time getting ready for the big ceremony. It was so sweet to see how Bill interacted with his son, and how much care they had for one another. Another fun aspect of the day is that we were shooting alongside our good pal Andrea Murphy (be sure to check her work out, it is fabulous!).

The timeline was a bit spread out so we had some time to just chill and enjoy the company of Melissa before the wedding. Tons of fun in that hotel room. We couldn’t stop laughing! After all the girls and guys got ready, it was time for the first look. Side note, first looks are AWESOME! They not only alleviate any pressure the couple is feeling, but they give you time to just say hey to one another before the ceremony. Think about it. Most of the time a bride and groom don’t get to be alone until they are driving away from their wedding. The first look allows you to just take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy your day. You can get your pictures all out of the way, and the list continues. Okay, rant over! Back to this awesome couple…

The ceremony was filled with laughs and tears. Melissa’s ring was only dropped twice, and she made it up the stairs successfully. One of our favorite moments was when Melissa and Bill both said vows to Jackson, Bill’s son. Such an emotional moment, and so sweet! The evening was filled with dancing, a photo wall, and some great times between the new family. All in all, this wedding was awesome. We have since kept in touch with Melissa, and she has continued to make us laugh every time we see her. Congrats you two! We had such a great time!

Jordan + Sterling | October 25, 2014 | The Mayo Hotel

Jordan + Sterling | October 25, 2014 | The Mayo Hotel

Jordan and Sterling were such a pleasure to work with. The entire day was filled with emotion, as everyone cried tears of joy and laughter. Hours before the ceremony, the couple read a letter from one another. Sterling held back the tears as she read the sweetest words from her soon-to-be groom. Just moments later, Sterling’s dad waited to see his baby girl for the first time that day. When he turned around, he couldn’t stop saying how gorgeous she looked. They spent the next few minutes preparing and talking about the big day. It was such an emotional experience that they will be able to cherish for a lifetime.

Just as Sterling held back the tears while reading the letter, Jordan held his back as he saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. He was in awe! The ceremony was amazing. Hundreds of friends and family members filled the room. After they recited their vows to each other, they made their way up to the Crystal Ballroom to dance the night away and celebrate the new beginning of their lives. From the custom ice sculptures to the centerpieces, the entire day was so elegant and we are so happy to have been a part of it. We wish nothing but the best to this fun couple!

Aaron + Brooke | First United Methodist | Mayo Wedding Reception | Tulsa, OK

Aaron + Brooke | First United Methodist | Mayo Wedding Reception | Tulsa, OK

Aaron and Brooke were married at First United Methodist in Tulsa, OK. It was such a beautiful day and everyone was so happy. Brooke and her bridesmaids got ready at The Mayo earlier that day and were able to spend some quality girl time before the ceremony. Hours later they rode The Old Urban Trolley to the church to take pictures. Brooke looked gorgeous in her long, strapless dress and the sunshine really brought out its beauty. Aaron and his groomsmen were very relaxed that day as well. They were all wearing black tuxedos and bowties, along with bright orange Reebok crossfit shoes. Aaron and Brooke are very passionate and active crossfitters, and you could see that detail of their lives all throughout the day. When the time came for the ceremony to begin, Brooke put her veil on and awaited the big moment. Her dad walked her down the aisle, gave her away, and the ceremony began. There was a lot of laughter, and you could tell they were best friends, despite the fact that they are rivals when it comes to Bedlam Day. After they were finally pronounced husband and wife, they rode the trolley back to The Mayo for the reception. They danced, laughed, and spent time with friends and family on the rooftop of the hotel. The entire night was a huge celebration for Aaron and Brooke as they were starting a new journey together.

Jamie + Kenner, Feature Film | Philbrook Museum, The Mayo Hotel | Wedding Videography

Philbrook Museum, Mayo Hotel Wedding Videography.

We are so excited to release this wedding film! We posted a few weeks back the photos from their wedding and couldn’t be more in love with this wedding! Absolutely stunning! Jamie + Kenner’s Philbrook Museum wedding has to be one of our all-time favorites here at Redeemed Productions. The ceremony was at The Philbrook Museum, and the reception was at The Mayo Hotel. A storm rolled in as the ceremony was about to begin, so we had to move the wedding from out on the lawn, to a terrace right outside of the museum. The sky cleared for about 20 minutes, and the ceremony began. The backdrop was perfect. No rain at all during the ceremony. As soon as the ceremony ended, the clouds rolled in, and it began to storm again. Jamie and Kenner were all smiles, all day. They didn’t let a little rain dampen their mood. We even were able to snag a sweet photo of the couple under an umbrella. Every little detail about this wedding was just perfect. We wouldn’t have changed a thing about this wedding. The reception was filled with dancing, smiles, and the newlyweds having the time of their lives!

Mayo Wedding Videography | Julie + Ben | Tulsa, OK

Julie and Ben’s Mayo Wedding Film was so much fun to be a part of.  Julie and Ben’s wedding day started with a beautiful Indian wedding ceremony. Two ceremonies in one day, both while in medical school. We don’t know how they did it, but everything was absolutely gorgeous! When we arrived, the girls were hanging out at The Mayo Hotel in a suite. Julie just couldn’t stop smiling! All smiles, and good times were being had by the wedding party. The bridesmaids looked on as Julie stepped into her wedding dress. It seemed as though they thought of every single detail for this day. Julie even gave Ben a pair of socks that said “just in case you get cold feet” on them. The wedding ceremony was held at the First Presbyterian Church Downtown. Some of our favorite moments were when Julie and Ben stopped by The University of Tulsa, and Downtown Tulsa to take pics right after the wedding. The sun was setting, and we were able to capture some amazing shots. The reception was at The Mayo Hotel in the ballroom, and it was absolutely breathtaking. From the centerpieces, to the photo booth, they didn’t leave out any of the details on this party. They spent the night dancing and having a great time.

Once again, we absolutely working with some of these wedding vendors. One of our favorite photographers of all time Holli and her husband Jace, with HolliB Photography came down from OKC. We love working with them, and think their images are gorgeous! When you put together a good team of wedding vendors, the entire day seems to go so smoothly. It makes our job so much easier when we are working with other respected professionals. After years of working in the industry, it really makes a difference to have seasoned pros on your wedding vendor team. Julie and Ben did a great job hiring a wedding planner in Sharon from Tulsa Weddings and Designs. By bringing in a professional to help you select your vendors, you are able to really have peace of mind about your big day. There is nothing worse than having to be worried about the details of your wedding when you are the bride. Especially on your wedding day. It is completely worth it! We were so thankful to be a part of this team, and are very happy with the way the wedding video turned out! A big thanks to Julie and Ben, as well as all of the amazing Tulsa Wedding Vendors that put on this beautiful wedding.
